Building a 403(b) Business: Where the Opportunity Lies

In the retirement plan world, change equals opportunity for financial professionals, and change has been a constant among 403(b) plans since the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) passed significant regulations in 2007 (effective 2009). But the biggest opportunity for change right now lies in one key segment of the 403(b) market: private higher education. Private colleges are discovering there are better ways to approach retirement plans for their participants.

If you’re a retirement plan financial professional looking to understand these trends for your business to help your clients, planadviser.com has a good series on 403(b) market opportunities. I had the great privilege of contributing a recent article focused on these market opportunities. I’d encourage you to jump over to planadviser.com to check out this series and learn more about how to tap into the private higher education market today.
